Principles in Action
I will walk in Liberty for I follow Your Principles
The Bible Says
You have been blessed that you might be a blessing. The Bible says that debt is a curse (Deut 28:44-45) and the borrower is servant (slave) to the lender (Prov 22:7). Jesus came to set the captives free (Gal 5:1) and to release people from the curse into blessing (Gal 3:13-14). Why do Christian ministries always seem to be limited by financial shortage, when the Bible promises ample provision for His people?
God's Word clearly teaches that His people should not become entangled with the world, making themselves servants of it with heavy debt and interest repayments (Rom 12:2, Neh 5:1-13).
We believe that God’s plan in general is that every person or family owns their own house and be debt-free as soon as possible; that they may be free as stewards to fully fulfil His plan for their lives.
Interest Free Lending
Liberty Trust began in 1989 with a direction from God that we should "pool our resources and lend to one another without interest". Liberty Trust operates a storehouse into which people can donate for the promotion of God’s purposes. We seek to advance the Christian faith by teaching and demonstrating the Bible’s financial principles to provide liberty to every household and church and advance the Kingdom of God
Liberty Trust enables biblically-based (Deut 23:20, 28:12, Pr 28:8) interest free mortgages through Ark Resources Ltd for New Zealand housing and church buildings following the principle of sowing and reaping (2 Cor 9:6-15) as funds become available. These mortgages are generally repaid over 7-10 years enabling borrowers to be released from financial burdens and to generously serve and build God's Kingdom.
Liberty Trust is also an ideal way to equip your pastors, missionaries and Christian workers (Eph 4:12), and provide for church buildings interest free.
You were called to be free ...
