We heard about Liberty Trust when a story was featured on the evening news. We did the research and realised very quickly that this was the opportunity we had been praying for.

At the time, we were living in Auckland, in a basement flat of our parents’ home with our one-year old daughter. To become home owners was the ultimate dream but was nowhere near a reality.  So, in 2010, we signed up and started contributing to Liberty Trust. Over the next 9 years, it was difficult to contribute to Liberty due to our financial situation of living pay cheque to pay cheque but we knew if we just continued to be faithful with the little, we had, that God would bless and honour our giving. Knowing that we were helping others and hearing all the incredible testimonies from other families was a huge motivator and encouragement over the years.

In 2012, our eldest son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  In 2013 we moved to New Plymouth which enabled us to purchase our own home.  A year later, our second son was also diagnosed with ASD.  Due to the challenges of raising two boys with special needs, we had no choice but to go to one income. So, despite being on one income and only by the grace of God, we continued to contribute to Liberty Trust fund. He continued to open doors and provide opportunities that allowed us to be faithful in our contributions.

Our lives were changed forever when our boys were diagnosed and it became very important to us to prepare ahead for their future as well as their sisters who would most likely be their key caregivers when we are no longer around. Our goal is to own our home to leave for our children so the burden of a mortgage would not be one that they would have to carry.

Thank you, Liberty Trust, for implementing a biblical game plan and strategy for financial freedom. Our dream of being home owners has now become a reality, but to be mortgage free, well that is just next level!

We will continue to hold on tightly to the promise found in Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him and who have been called according to his purpose”. Knowing in our hearts that God can make good of every circumstance and that our future will always be secure with Him.
