Andrew & Olya

We started contributing towards a Liberty loan back when we were missionaries overseas, knowing that one day we would come back to NZ and would not have the savings or income to get into a house without some kind of extra help. We became missionaries at a very young age and did not get into a mortgage at the same time as our friends, but trusted that God would take care of us as He always does.

When it was time to come home, we returned to the South Island and Andrew retrained as a primary school teacher so that he could have a stable job and income for our family. On the down side this meant taking a student loan... which put us into debt. We also made the decision to move to the North Island to be closer to Andrew's aging parents, and took a further loan to help with the move. So now we had two debts, and no house. Our initial plan was to contribute to the fund until we could borrow enough to buy a house, but we had reduced our payments, house prices had risen, and with our newly-acquired debts it looked impossible. We talked with Liberty Trust about taking a lower loan, and suddenly everything fell into place: we received our interest free loan from Liberty which allowed us to pay off our debts, put a deposit on a house, and buy a car! We moved into our new home almost in a daze, everything had happened so quickly and unexpectedly, and we could say with assurance that God had taken care of us once again.

Thank you Liberty for allowing God to use you to bless others!
