Why is it that everywhere the work of God's Kingdom seems to be limited by a common factor - finance? Yet God's Word repeatedly promises abundance. What is wrong? As an accountant I felt frustrated yet determined to find the answer. Then in 1988 my pastor shared with me an answer given to the prayer of an intercessor in our church, that Christians should pool their resources and help one another. At first I rejected it, saying that if the answer were as simple as that others would be doing it already. But as I checked the team's figures and found they worked, I heard God saying to me, "I am giving you the desire of your heart. (Psalm 37 v 4.) Will you accept it?" And so began a wild ride of pioneering research with the team, into Bible study, computer modelling, legal structures and taxation, promotion, and above all prayer as we have worked through challenges.

Twelve years later I can confidently declare, together with our team of trustees and helpers in Liberty Trust, that we have found the biblical reason why God's Kingdom is not seeing the financial blessings of Deuteronomy chapter 28 fulfilled, and God's remedy for His people. God has answered my prayer and step by step revealed why such conditional promises as Malachi 3 v 10 (below) have not been fulfilled. See Bible Study on Finance.

"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it."

It has been a hugely exciting experience. Now comes the next challenge, to teach it. Best of all, the fact that God is revealing it now is, we believe, another signpost that this is part of His timetable. Christ is preparing His Bride.
