Praise God for Liberty Trust, for their commitment to teach financial principles and administer the Trust, on Biblical principles. I have known about Liberty Trust for many years and looked into the option of contributing to them years ago, but our circumstances never allowed us to commence doing this. I have worked in Christian ministry since 2001, for Jubilee Budget Advisory Service, Jubilee Christian Charitable Trust and a few in-between years at my local Church. Our Trust started in 1989 (the same year as Liberty Trust) I have always loved the principle of sowing, helping others into a Mortgage and then reaping the rewards one day, to become ‘debt free’ to be able to do more of Gods work.

Last year in 2019, I found myself in a completely different situation – to what “I” had planned out for my life. In brief, I was left a single 53 years old women, renting a townhouse off relatives and having only a small amount of money invested, that wouldn’t be a huge deposit these days, to put down on a mortgage. Over months, God changed my thinking to thoughts that I needed to secure my future (more for my family’s sake), by purchasing a property and attempting to pay it off before retirement age. I am fully aware that it is very hard to pay rent when you are in receipt of a benefit or superannuation.

So, in God’s perfect timing, I decided to look for a property. My relatives offered for me to purchase the townhouse I was renting. At that time, I was in contact with Bruce from Liberty Trust and mentioned my situation. He said to email through my circumstances and that there may be something that could be done. Within a couple more days, I was offered an option to pay a family out the amount they had contributed to Liberty Trust. I could then borrow 5 times that amount, (which Praise God) was exactly the amount that I needed to purchase the property that I was in, and available at the exact time needed.

I am so grateful to God for His faithfulness, His perfect timing, for always supplying my needs. (Philippians 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus) was a verse that kept coming up to me over those weeks. And I am also grateful to God for blessing me with an ‘interest free’ home loan through Liberty Trust, which I am on track to have paid off completely before retirement age.

As I believe there is no retirement with God, I will then be ‘debt free’ to continue and increase my work in ministry and mission work for God.

Romans 10:13-14 New King James Version (NKJV)

13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
