We heard about Liberty Trust through a family member not long after our daughter Ashleigh was born. We liked the concept of an interest free loan with the added benefit of being able to help out other Christians.
We joined in 1996 and we were rapt to receive our interest free loan in February this year.
During this time we though our ‘turn’ wasn’t going to happen, and thought about stopping and using the money elsewhere, especially when we hosted a Brazilian student for a year and was really limited money-wise. We would never give that year up for anything, even though it was quite a struggle but we gained a daughter and another family.
Looking back we can see that God was teaching us patience and to stay focused. The timing was perfect as we had a smaller mortgage and we were able to borrow a bit more and do some alterations on our house, which we wouldn’t have been able to do if we received the loan earlier. It is a great feeling to know that we are paying our house off with no interest.
