What a blessing it has been to be involved with Liberty Trust from the outset. As one of the founding Trustees I well remember our first year of weekly prayer meetings at the Whakatane Baptist Church. Liberty Trust was birthed in prayer following a vision from the Lord to one of our Church members showing her that God wanted his people to pool resources and lend to one another to release His people from the bondage of mortgages and debt. God has been so faithful and we walked carefully and stayed close to Him as we sought to set up His plan to set people financially free through Liberty Trust. It has been a blessing to be a part of this work in the Kingdom of God. God’s ways are so much higher than ours and as we together seek to outwork His Kingdom living and Kingdom giving I pray that we will experience something more of the heart of God. I want to encourage all those who read this newsletter that you cannot out-give God. We can trust Him in our finances as we trust Him in our lives. A verse that has always meant a lot to me we read in Philippians 4v19 “But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus”. Our heavenly Father knows all our needs and we can trust Him for our supply. In the words of our Lord Jesus in Acts 20v35 “It is more blessed to give than to receive”. I am sure that we in Liberty Trust can say AMEN to that. The Lord bless you all as you continue in this ministry and may God bless you abundantly. Yours in Christ Jesus Elaine Bateson
We wish to express great thanks to Elaine Bateson for her time and wisdom over the twelve plus years she was a trustee of Liberty Trust. Elaine was one of our pioneering trustees when we commenced back in 1989. Her wisdom and Godly vision have made a huge contribution as we have grown and met challenges and opportunities. Elaine resigned in 2001 to give more to other ministries and to their family business, Covenant Homes Limited. Thanks heaps Elaine.
