Dr Chris Marshall is Head of New Testament at the Bible College of New Zealand's Residential College in Henderson, Auckland.

Chris holds a BA Honours degree (1975) from Victoria University of Wellington, in Geography and Anthropology, and is an experienced High School teacher. He completed with distinction his BD degree from Melbourne College of Divinity in 1980, and from 1981 to 1985 he studied for a research PhD degree in New Testament at Kings College, University of London, under the supervision of Prof. G N Stanton. He completed an MA in Peace Studies from an American Mennonite Seminary in 1996. He is author of Faith as a Theme in Mark's Narrative, Kingdom Come: The Kingdom of God in the Teaching of Jesus, Beyond Retribution: A New Testament Vision for Justice, Crime and Punishment, and Crowned in Glory and Honor: Human Rights in the Biblical Tradition.
